From installation to daily maintenance: everything you need to know
Initial Care (After Installation)
When: After grout curing (3-5 days)
- Remove cement haze with Lithofin KF Cement Residue Remover (undiluted or 1:3)
- Rinse thoroughly
- For unglazed porcelain: apply Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator
- Apply Lithofin KF Grout Protector to grout lines
- Consider Lithofin Anti-Slip for floor tiles

Daily Maintenance
Frequency: Weekly
- Mop with Lithofin KF Conditioning Cleaner diluted in water
- Squeegee shower walls to prevent limescale
- Wipe down around sinks and vanities
Products: Lithofin KF Conditioning Cleaner
Do NOT:
- Avoid wax-based cleaners (build up on tiles)
- Do not use abrasive powders on glazed tiles
Periodic Deep Cleaning
Frequency: Monthly in wet areas, quarterly elsewhere
- Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean for limescale areas
- Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner for general deep cleaning
- Scrub grout lines with Lithofin KF Grout Cleaner if discoloured
- Rinse thoroughly

Protection & Sealing
Re-seal every: Every 2-3 years for grout; unglazed tiles every 3-5 years
- Deep clean tiles and grout
- Allow to dry
- Re-apply Lithofin KF Grout Protector to grout lines
- Re-apply KF Protective Impregnator to unglazed tiles

Troubleshooting
Limescale build-up around taps and in shower
Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean - safe and effective on all ceramics. Apply, leave 5-10 min, scrub, rinse.
Mould in grout lines
Lithofin KF Mildew-Away spray. Leave 15-30 min, scrub with old toothbrush, rinse. Improve ventilation.
Dirty/discoloured grout
Lithofin KF Grout Cleaner followed by KF Grout Protector.
Slippery floor tiles when wet
Lithofin Anti-Slip - 10-15 minutes contact time on porcelain, rinse thoroughly.
