Porcelain Outdoor terrace - Complete Care Guide

From installation to daily maintenance: everything you need to know

Initial Care (After Installation)

When: Within 1 week of installation, after grout has cured.

  1. Clean the new porcelain surface with Lithofin KF Cement Residue Remover to remove any installation residues.
  2. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to ensure no residue remains.
  3. Allow the surface to dry completely (24-48 hours).
  4. Apply Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator evenly with a soft cloth or sponge.
  5. Remove any excess product after 10-15 minutes.
  6. Allow 24 hours to cure before using the terrace.

Daily Maintenance

Frequency: Daily or after each use

  1. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth using Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean (diluted in water).
  2. Clean spills immediately, especially from acidic substances.
  3. Rinse with clean water and dry the surface to prevent water marks.

Do NOT:

  • Never use vinegar or lemon-based cleaners.
  • Never use abrasive sponges or steel wool.
  • Never use bleach or chlorine-based cleaners.
  • Do not leave acidic substances sitting on the surface.

Periodic Deep Cleaning

Frequency: Every 3-6 months

  1. Apply Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner diluted 1:5 with a sponge.
  2. Leave for 5-10 minutes to penetrate dirt.
  3. Scrub gently with a soft brush.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  5. Dry with a soft cloth.

Protection & Sealing

Re-seal every: Every 1-2 years

  1. Deep clean the surface first using Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner.
  2. Allow to dry completely (24-48 hours).
  3. Apply Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator evenly across the surface.
  4. Remove any excess product after 10-15 minutes.
  5. Allow 24 hours to cure before using the terrace.
