Traffic-worn parquet regains colour after one 5-minute Power-Clean rinse

Your freshly laid parquet in the living room already shows grey traffic lanes and sticky residues that daily mopping will not shift. Power-Clean (article 301) breaks down that build-up in one pass, letting you rinse away weeks of grime without swelling the wood.

What Power-Clean Does

Power-Clean is a mildly alkaline cleaner for parquet, laminate, and all water-resistant hard floors. At pH 9.5 the surfactant blend splits fatty soils and lifts micro-dust from pores, yet stays below the swelling threshold for wood fibres. A 1:10 solution dissolves dried shoe polish in 5 minutes; undiluted, it cuts through builder’s dirt with one scrub.

When to Use

  • Parquet in living areas - routine deep clean, dilute 1:10
  • Laminate corridors with heel marks - restorative clean, dilute 1:5
  • Newly installed wood floors before first polish - undiluted
  • Ceramic kitchen tiles after greasy cooking sessions - 1:10, links to general cleaning
  • Seasonal reset instead of daily mopping - 1:10, see daily maintenance

How to Apply

  1. Vacuum loose grit, then dilute as required (100 ml in 1 L water gives 1:10).
  2. Spread solution with a flat mop; keep surface wet for 5 minutes.
  3. Agitate stubborn spots with a white pad or soft brush.
  4. Rinse twice with clean water and wrung-out mop.

You cover 30 m² per litre of working solution. The floor is walk-safe as soon as the rinse water is removed; no extra drying time.

Surface Compatibility

The alkaline pH and solvent-free recipe protect varnished parquet, oiled oak, melamine laminate and glazed ceramic. Because the formula contains no acids, it will not etch sensitive stones such as marble. Do not use on raw wood or any surface that must stay dry.

Choosing the Right Product

For daily wipe-down, use PL Care. For reviving sheen after cleaning, apply PL Polish. Power-Clean handles the heavy lifting so those maintenance products can work efficiently.

Pro Tips

  • Work in 10 m² sections; this keeps the 5-minute dwell time consistent across the room.
  • Use warm (40 °C) water to boost surfactant activity and cut grease 15 % faster.
  • Rinse pads frequently; saturated pads redeposit soil and cut coverage by half.

Frequently asked questions

Can Power-Clean be used on oiled parquet?

Yes. At 1:10 the pH 9.5 solution will not strip hard-wax oils and leaves no film.

What is the coverage of Power-Clean on rough granite?

You reach 30 m² per litre when diluted 1:5; that equals 20 ml of concentrate per m².

Do I need to rinse laminate after Power-Clean?

Always rinse twice with clean water; otherwise surfactants can dull the finish.

How often should Power-Clean be applied on parquet floors?

Plan a deep clean every 3-6 months or whenever daily cleaning no longer restores appearance.
