What Universal Terrassenreiniger Does

Universal Terrassenreiniger is an alkaline outdoor cleaner for natural stone, porcelain, ceramic, and concrete. The pH 10.5 formula breaks the bond between organic residue and the surface; tensides lift grease while sequestering agents keep dissolved soil in suspension. At 20 °C you see dirt release within 3 minutes even on rough granite. One litre treats up to 100 m², cutting maintenance time by 70 % compared with manual scrubbing.

When to Use

• Granite patio slabs after winter freeze-thaw cycles  - dilute 1:5.
• Marble balcony tiles with barbecue smoke deposits  - dilute 1:10.
• Outdoor-cleaning after removing algae with ALGEX  - use undiluted on joints.
• Ceramic roof terraces before sealing with MN Stain-Stop  - dilute 1:5.
• Solar panels with traffic film build-up  - dilute 1:10 and rinse with de-ionised water.

How to Apply

1. Brush or sweep the surface dry, then wet with clean water to cool hot stone. Time: 2 min.
2. Prepare solution: 1 part product to 10 parts water for light soil, 1:5 for medium, or use neat for heavy deposits. Time: 1 min.
3. Distribute evenly with a mop, sponge, or pressure washer lance; keep the area wet for 3-10 min. Time: 5 min.
4. Scrub with a stiff deck brush, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water until runoff is clear. Time: 2 min.

Covers 80-100 m²/L on smooth porcelain and 50-70 m²/L on textured sandstone. No drying time; the area is traffic-ready immediately after rinsing.

Surface Compatibility

The alkaline blend cleans acid-sensitive marble and limestone without etching because it contains no free acids. Hard stones such as granite, basalt, and porcelain withstand the solution even at full strength thanks to their Mohs ≥7 and low porosity. Good results are also achieved on sandstone, slate, terracotta, and concrete. Do not use on polished aluminium or other alkali-sensitive metals.

Choosing the Right Product

For stain protection after cleaning, apply MN Stain-Stop. For weekly maintenance between deep cleans, add 20 ml of MN Wash & Clean to 10 L of water.

• Always pre-wet hot stone; evaporation above 30 °C reduces dwell time by 40 % and cleaning power.
• Use a rotary surface cleaner on large concrete decks; even distribution prevents streaks and halves labour.
