Coverage: Approximately 1 liter per 30 m²
Wet glossy tiles become safe walkways in just 10 minutes with RSG.

Your new porcelain bathroom floor looks sleek but turns treacherous when wet. Guests hesitate, maintenance staff worry, and one slip could cost you. RSG solves the problem by permanently increasing traction on glazed ceramic, granite and other hard, silica-based surfaces without changing the appearance.

What RSG Does

RSG is an acidic specialist treatment for ceramic and porcelain tiles. The pH 2.5 gel reacts with silica, forming a uniform 4-6 µm micro-roughness that raises coefficient of friction by up to 0.35. One 1 L bottle treats 30 m², delivering a long-lasting anti-slip surface when maintained with neutral Lithofin cleaners.

When to Use

  • High-gloss bathroom porcelain, dilution 1:1 ready-to-use, for immediate slip resistance.
  • Polished granite lobby steps, undiluted, for heavy foot traffic areas.
  • Pool-side ceramic tiles, undiluted, where water and sunscreen create slick films.
  • Restaurant kitchen quarry porcelain, undiluted, after degreasing with MN Power-Clean.
  • Shopping-mall quartzite walkways, undiluted, before sealing joints with MN impregnation.

How to Apply

  1. Clean the surface thoroughly with MN Power-Clean, rinse and let it dry (PT5M).
  2. Shake RSG, pour onto the floor and spread evenly with a rubber squeegee (PT5M).
  3. Allow to react 5-10 minutes; keep wet by re-distributing the gel (PT10M).
  4. Rinse twice with plenty of water, neutralising residues with a pH-7 cleaner (PT5M).

Coverage: 30 m²/L (33.33 ml/m²). Floor is walkable after final rinse; full chemical stabilization within 12 hours at 20 °C.

Surface Compatibility

Excellent on porcelain, ceramic, and dense granite because their Mohs 7 matrix tolerates the mild acid etch without visual change. Good on slate, concrete, and clinker. The gel should not be used on acid-sensitive marble or glazed surfaces advertised as anti-slip-ready.

Choosing the Right Product

For deep-pore degreasing before treatment, use MN Power-Clean. For algae-covered outdoor porcelain, clean first with MN Outdoor Cleaner, then apply RSG to lock in safe footing.

Pro Tips

  • Test a 20 × 20 cm patch; stop reaction when water beads break evenly-this confirms micro-etch depth.
  • Maintain weekly with pH 7 cleaner to preserve friction; alkaline detergents can polish away micro-texture over months.
  • Record application time and temperature; at 10 °C reaction slows by 30 %, so extend dwell to 13 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Does RSG change the colour of porcelain tiles?

No, the 4–6 µm micro-etch is below the visual threshold, so colour and gloss remain unchanged.

How long does RSG last on granite steps?

With pH-neutral maintenance, the anti-slip effect endures 3–5 years before re-treatment is needed.

Can RSG be used on slate?

Yes, it is rated good for slate (Mohs 4). Test first and limit dwell time to 5 minutes.

What coverage can I expect on ceramic floor tiles?

One litre reliably treats 30 m², equal to 33.33 ml per square metre.

Is neutralisation mandatory after applying RSG?

Yes, rinsing twice with water then wiping with a pH 7 cleaner stops the acid reaction completely.
