Ceramic Kitchen backsplash - Complete Care Guide
From installation to daily maintenance: everything you need to know
Initial Care (After Installation)
When: Within 1 week of installation, after grout has cured.
- Clean the new surface with Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean to remove any installation residues.
- Allow the surface to dry completely (24 hours).
- Apply Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator evenly with a soft cloth.
- Remove excess after 10-15 minutes.
- Allow 24 hours to cure before using the backsplash.
Products needed: Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean, Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator
Daily Maintenance
Frequency: Daily or after each use
- Wipe the surface with a damp cloth using Lithofin KF Easy-Clean (spray) or KF Ceramic-Clean (diluted in water).
- Clean spills immediately - especially acidic substances like vinegar or lemon juice.
- Dry the surface after cleaning to prevent water marks.

Do NOT:
- Never use abrasive sponges or steel wool.
- Never use bleach or chlorine-based cleaners.
- Do not leave acidic foods sitting on the surface.
Periodic Deep Cleaning
Frequency: Every 3-6 months
- Apply Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner diluted as per instructions with a sponge.
- Leave for 5-10 minutes.
- Scrub gently with a soft brush.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Dry with a soft cloth.

Protection & Sealing
Re-seal every: Every 1-2 years
- Deep clean the surface first using Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner.
- Allow to dry completely (24 hours).
- Apply Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator evenly.
- Remove excess after 10-15 minutes and allow to cure for 24 hours.
