From installation to daily maintenance: everything you need to know
Initial Care (After Installation)
When: Within 1 week of installation, after grout has cured.
- Clean the new surface with Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean diluted as per instructions to remove any installation residues.
- Allow to dry completely (24 hours).
- Apply Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator evenly with a soft cloth.
- Remove excess after 10-15 minutes.
- Allow 24 hours to cure before use.
Products needed: Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean, Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator
Daily Maintenance
Frequency: Daily or after each use
- Wipe surface with a damp cloth using Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner (diluted in water).
- Clean spills immediately to prevent staining.
- Dry the surface after cleaning to prevent water marks.
Products: Lithofin KF Intensive Cleaner
Do NOT:
- Never use vinegar or lemon-based cleaners.
- Never use abrasive sponges or steel wool.
- Never use bleach or chlorine-based cleaners.
- Do not use scouring pads that may scratch the surface.
- Avoid leaving acidic foods sitting on the surface.
Periodic Deep Cleaning
Frequency: Every 3-6 months
- Apply Lithofin KF Grout Cleaner to the grout lines if necessary, following the product instructions.
- Use Lithofin KF Ceramic-Clean for a thorough clean of the mosaic surface.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water after cleaning.
- Reapply Lithofin KF Protective Impregnator if the surface appears to be absorbing stains.
