From installation to daily maintenance: everything you need to know
Initial Care (After Installation)
When: After installation in dry weather
- Clean with Lithofin MN Power-Clean 1:5 after installation
- Allow to dry completely
- Apply Lithofin MN Stain-Stop or MN Basic Protection
- Allow 24 hours, avoid rain during curing
Products needed: Lithofin MN Power-Clean, Lithofin MN Stain-Stop
Daily Maintenance
Frequency: Monthly sweeping, seasonal cleaning
- Regular sweeping to remove leaves and debris
- Seasonal hosing down
- Annual deep clean
Products: Lithofin MN Wash & Clean
Do NOT:
- Granite is very durable - few restrictions
- Avoid leaving metal objects on wet granite (rust transfer)
Periodic Deep Cleaning
Frequency: Annually (spring)
- Lithofin ALGEX for biological growth, leave 24-48h, rinse
- Lithofin MN Outdoor Cleaner for general soiling
- Pressure wash at safe distance

Protection & Sealing
Re-seal every: Every 3-5 years
- Deep clean first, allow to dry
- Re-apply Lithofin MN Basic Protection or Stain-Stop
- Apply in dry weather

Troubleshooting
Green algae/moss in joints
Lithofin ALGEX sprayed into joints and on surface. Leave 24-48h, rinse.
Rust spots from internal minerals
Lithofin Rust-EX applied to individual spots. Granite is acid-resistant so this is safe.
Loss of colour
Lithofin MN Colour Intensifier for enhanced look, or MN Stain-Stop for natural look with protection.
