Terrazzo Interior floor - Complete Care Guide
From installation to daily maintenance: everything you need to know
Initial Care (After Installation)
When: After polishing (if new) or installation
- Clean with Lithofin MN Power-Clean 1:10 (terrazzo is calcareous - safe alkaline formula)
- Allow to dry completely
- Apply Lithofin MN Stain-Stop for invisible protection
- Remove excess after 10-15 minutes
- Allow 24 hours to cure
Products needed: Lithofin MN Power-Clean, Lithofin MN Stain-Stop
Daily Maintenance
Frequency: Daily to weekly
- Sweep or dust mop first
- Mop with Lithofin MN Wash & Clean diluted in water
Products: Lithofin MN Wash & Clean
Do NOT:
- NEVER use acid-based cleaners - terrazzo contains marble chips
- Avoid abrasive pads on polished terrazzo
- Do not use vinegar or citric acid products
Periodic Deep Cleaning
Frequency: Every 3-6 months
- Lithofin MN Power-Clean diluted 1:5
- Apply, leave 5-10 minutes, scrub gently, rinse

Protection & Sealing
Re-seal every: Every 2-3 years
- Deep clean, dry completely
- Re-apply Lithofin MN Stain-Stop
- For colour enhancement: MN Colour Intensifier

Troubleshooting
Etch marks from acid
Treat like marble: MN Polish Cream for spot treatment, MN Polish Liquid for larger areas.
Loss of shine
MN Polish Liquid applied with cloth or machine. Professional re-polishing for severe dulling.
Cracks or chips
Professional terrazzo repair with matching aggregate. Beyond DIY scope.
