Travertine Bathroom floor and walls - Complete Care Guide
From installation to daily maintenance: everything you need to know
Initial Care (After Installation)
When: Within 1 week of installation, after grout has cured.
- Clean the new travertine surface with Lithofin MN Power-Clean diluted 1:10 to remove any installation residues.
- Allow the surface to dry completely (24-48 hours).
- Apply Lithofin MN Stain-Stop evenly with a soft cloth.
- Remove excess Stain-Stop after 10-15 minutes.
- Allow 24 hours to cure before using the bathroom.
- For very porous travertine, apply a second coat of Stain-Stop after 30 minutes.

Daily Maintenance
Frequency: Daily or after each use
- Wipe the surface with a damp cloth using Lithofin MN Easy-Clean (spray) or MN Wash & Clean (diluted in water).
- Clean spills immediately - especially acidic substances like lemon juice, wine, and vinegar.
- Dry the surface after cleaning to prevent water marks.

Do NOT:
- Never use vinegar or lemon-based cleaners.
- Never use abrasive sponges or steel wool.
- Never use bleach or chlorine-based cleaners.
- Never place hot items directly on travertine.
- Do not leave acidic foods or liquids sitting on the surface.
Periodic Deep Cleaning
Frequency: Every 1-3 months
- Apply Lithofin MN Builders' Clean diluted as per instructions to remove deeper dirt and residues.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water after application.
- Allow the surface to dry completely.
- Reapply Lithofin MN Stain-Stop for added protection.
