Wax residue builds up on surfaces that have been treated with wax-based finishes, particularly cotto, terracotta, and some natural stones. Over time, multiple layers of wax accumulate, becoming yellow, uneven, and trapping dirt beneath each layer.

Step-by-step instructions

Apply Lithofin WAX-OFF generously. Leave 15-30 minutes. Scrub vigorously with machine or stiff brush. Remove dissolved wax with clean cloths or wet vacuum. Repeat 2-4 times until surface is clean. Once fully stripped: choose either traditional wax system (TC Classic Primer + TC Classic Wax) or modern system (TC Impregnator).

  • Complete removal is essential before any new treatment
  • Very porous - wax penetrates deep
