Remove limescale and soap film from ceramic tiles in minutes — no residue.

Soap film dulls your shower tiles, kettle-hot limescale spots your kitchen splashback, and everyday cleaners bounce off the buildup. KF ClearTop cuts through the mineral crust in minutes, restoring the crisp sheen on your ceramic wall and floor tiles.

What ClearTop Does

ClearTop is an acidic cleaner for ceramic, porcelain, and other acid-resistant surfaces. With a working pH of 1.8 it attacks calcium carbonate deposits, rust, and soap scum, converting them into water-soluble salts that rinse away. A 40 m²/L coverage and three dilution options (1:10, 1:5, or neat) let you match strength to soil level while keeping material consumption measured in exact 25 ml/m².

When to Use

  • Bathroom ceramic tiles with limescale - dilute 1:10, see limescale guide.
  • Porcelain kitchen splashbacks after months of cooking steam - dilute 1:5.
  • Unglazed ceramic hallway floors before sealing - use undiluted.
  • Polished granite worktops stained by hard-water rings - dilute 1:10.
  • Annual deep cleaning of pool-side glass-mosaic - use 1:5.

How to Apply

  1. Prepare the mix: 1:10 for light film, 1:5 for stubborn scale, undiluted for cement haze.
  2. Spread with a mop, sponge, or microfiber cloth, making sure 50 ml/m² wets vertical joints.
  3. Allow the product to fizz for 3-5 minutes; keep the surface wet, scrub with a white pad if needed.
  4. Rinse twice with clean water until pH-neutral runoff, then wipe dry.

One litre treats up to 40 m². No drying time is required; surfaces are traffic-ready immediately after the final rinse.

Surface Compatibility

ClearTop excels on porcelain, ceramic, and glass-mosaic because their Mohs ≥6 hardness and acid resistance prevent etching while the low porosity lets the solution lift deposits quickly. It is also effective on basalt, slate, granite, and other acid-resistant stones, though always perform a patch test. Do not use on marble, limestone, terrazzo, or any surface labelled acid-sensitive.

Choosing the Right Product

For routine streak-free maintenance after deep cleaning, use Lithofin KF Care. For long-term stain protection of countertops or shower walls, finish with Lithofin KF Stain-Stop. ClearTop stays your pick whenever you see whitish scale or rust marks.

Pro Tips

  • Warm the surface to 25 °C with shower water first; reaction speed doubles compared to 18 °C.
  • Work in 3 m² sections so the acid stays active and never dries out, preventing salt residue.
  • Neutralise runoff that reaches concrete grout joints with a quick pass of diluted KF Care (pH 9) for balanced surface chemistry.

Frequently asked questions

Can ClearTop etch polished granite?

Granite (Mohs 7) is acid-resistant; a 1:10 dilution cleans without etching. Always test a 10 × 10 cm spot first.

What is the coverage rate of ClearTop on ceramic floors?

One litre cleans about 40 m² or 25 ml per square metre when used undiluted.

Is ClearTop safe for daily maintenance of porcelain?

Use it only for periodic deep cleaning. For daily care switch to Lithofin KF Care at pH 9.

How long should ClearTop stay on limescale before rinsing?

Allow 3–5 minutes contact time; do not let the solution dry on the surface.
