Lithofin MN Polish
Art. 171-06-EU
Your polished marble countertop shows dull rings around the sink. Drinks splashes have etched the surface and standard cleaners leave it lifeless. Lithofin MN Polish Cream erases those marks and restores the mirror-like finish in minutes.
What MN Polish Cream Does
MN Polish Cream is a neutral cream polish for polished, calcareous stone. With a pH of 7.0 and micro-abrasives rated Mohs 2.5, it gently abrades the dulled calcium carbonate layer, fills microscopic pores with wax, and immediately raises surface gloss by up to 20 GU.
When to Use
- Etch rings on a marble vanity - use neat, rub 10 g per ring.
- Dull splash zone behind a kitchen faucet - apply neat, 1 g per cm².
- Edge wear on polished limestone stair treads - use neat, 30 g per tread.
- Small terrazzo table top losing shine - apply neat, 15 g per 0.2 m².
- After deep clean with MN Wash & Clean - final buff, 20 g per 0.3 m².
How to Apply
- Squeeze a hazelnut-sized dot of cream onto the mark. Time: PT5M
- Rub with a soft cloth or felt pad in tight circles until the spot dries matte. Time: PT5M
- Buff the area with a clean cloth until a high gloss appears. Time: PT5M
- Wipe off residue with MN Wash & Clean solution (1:200) and dry. Time: PT5M
Cumulative coverage averages 5 g per 0.1 m². Gloss is visible immediately; full cure of the wax component takes 30 minutes.
Surface Compatibility
The cream excels on polished marble, polished limestone, and polished terrazzo because the Mohs 2.5 abrasive is softer than these stones, removing damage without scratching. The neutral formula will not etch acid-sensitive calcium carbonate. Do not use on granite, honed finishes, ceramic, or porcelain.
Choosing the Right Product
For colour deepening without extra gloss, use Lithofin MN Color-Intensifier. For routine cleaning at pH 10, use MN Wash & Clean. Select MN Polish Cream when a glossy surface is the primary goal.
Pro Tips
- Always pre-clean with MN Wash & Clean; dirt particles harder than Mohs 3 can create micro-scratches.
- Work small areas; heat from friction aids the wax flow and shortens polishing time to under 3 minutes.
- Finish with a microfibre cloth; its 0.3 µm fibres lift residual wax, maximising gloss by an extra 5 GU.

Frequently asked questions
Why does lemon juice leave marks on my marble?
Citric acid dissolves CaCO3, creating an etch. MN Polish Cream re-abrades the affected spot and restores shine without acids.
My polished marble has lost its shine — how do I restore it?
Identify etch vs wear. For isolated etch marks, rub MN Polish Cream neat until gloss returns, then buff dry.
Does the surface finish affect MN Polish Cream performance?
Yes. The product relies on a mirror surface; honed or textured stone lacks enough reflection, so the cream cannot restore gloss there.
How do I repair light scratches on marble floors with MN Polish Cream?
Apply a pea-sized amount, work in circles for 2 minutes, then buff. Scratches under 0.05 mm depth often disappear.
