Cloudy fireplace glass? One-minute spray restores perfect clarity.

Blackened fireplace glass spoils the flames, and baked-on grease on your oven door blocks the view of your roast. Spray Lithofin Stove & Ovenglass Cleaner, wait 60 seconds, and wipe; the residue vanishes without scratching the pane.

What Stove & Ovenglass Cleaner Does

Stove & Ovenglass Cleaner is an alkaline cleaner for glass, ceramic, porcelain, and metal surfaces. The pH 12.5 formula breaks the carbon bonds in soot, tar, and polymerised grease within 1 minute, turning them water-soluble so you lift them off with a cloth. Surfactants at 5 % by weight keep loosened particles suspended, preventing re-deposit.

When to Use

  • Fireplace viewing pane after every 3-5 burns - use neat (0:1 dilution).
  • Oven door with caramelised spillovers - use neat, 2× applications for 150 °C baking residue.
  • Vitroceramic cooktop rings - neat spray; follow with a scraper for mineral rings.
  • BBQ stainless grids between grilling sessions - neat; rinse with warm water.
  • Deep general cleaning of insert handles - neat, soft brush agitation.

How to Apply

  1. Hold bottle 15 cm from the cold surface and spray an even film (≈66 ml/m²).
  2. Allow to act 60-120 seconds; do not let the product dry.
  3. Rub with a damp microfibre or crumpled newspaper until the soil lifts.
  4. Wipe with clean water, then buff dry with a lint-free cloth.

Coverage: up to 15 m²/L on smooth glass. No drying time-surface is ready for heat use immediately after wiping.

Surface Compatibility

Excellent on porcelain, ceramic, and glass-mosaic because their Mohs 5-7 hardness resists the alkaline chemistry and the spray contains no abrasives that could haze glazing. Do not use on painted aluminium frames, anodised trims, or any surface labelled "alkali-sensitive."

Choosing the Right Product

For burnt-on oven carbon, use this cleaner. For greasy extractor hoods, use Lithofin HOME Krachtreiniger. For finger-marked stainless fascia, wipe with Lithofin HOME Inox-Clean.

Pro Tips

  • Warm the oven door to 30 °C before spraying; the slight heat speeds saponification by 20 %.
  • Polish glass with a dry paper towel after cleaning; it removes micro-film that could attract dust.
  • Rinse spray head under hot water after use; prevents nozzle clogging from dried salts.

Frequently asked questions

Can Stove & Ovenglass Cleaner etch ceramic cooktops?

No. Ceramic cooktops rate Mohs 5 and resist the pH 12.5 formula; no etching occurs even after 5-minute contact.

Is Stove & Ovenglass Cleaner food-safe after wiping?

Yes. Once rinsed with clean water, no residue above 10 mg/m² remains, below EU food-contact limits.

How much Stove & Ovenglass Cleaner do I need for a standard oven door?

A 40×50 cm door equals 0.2 m²; you spray roughly 13 ml, so a 500 ml bottle cleans 38 doors.

Will Stove & Ovenglass Cleaner remove soot on fireplace brick?

No. Porous firebrick absorbs alkali and may discolor. Use Lithofin MN Power-Clean diluted 1:5 instead.
