Lithofin WEXA All-Purpose Cleaner
Art. 012-11-B
Thick layers of kitchen grease, soot from a fireplace, or rubber forklift tracks can leave your floor looking permanently stained. One pass with Lithofin WEXA solves the mess, restoring slip-resistant grip on a 200 m² warehouse floor or the shine on a marble lobby.
What WEXA Does
WEXA is an alkaline intensive cleaner for natural stone, ceramic, porcelain, and concrete. With a pH of 12.5 in concentrate, the surfactant blend breaks the polar bonds of fats, soot, and polymer care films. Undiluted it saponifies greasy deposits within 5 minutes; at 1:20 it lifts everyday soil without attacking acid-sensitive marble.
When to Use
- Industrial concrete floors with forklift rubber marks - dilute 1:5.
- Grease-laden kitchen granite counters - dilute 1:10.
- Soot on a sandstone fireplace - dilute 1:5 or use neat.
- Pre-seal deep clean on polished marble - dilute 1:20.
- Post-construction general cleaning on porcelain tiles - dilute 1:10.
How to Apply
- Pre-wet surface to reduce absorbency; mix WEXA to the chosen ratio in a bucket (e.g. 1 L WEXA + 4 L water for 1:5).
- Spread with mop, white pad, or scrubbing machine, ensuring 100-200 ml/m² saturation. Work in 10 m² sections.
- Allow 5-10 minutes contact; keep wet and agitate with a brush.
- Rinse twice with clean water or wet-vacuum, then allow the surface to air-dry.
Covers 3-15 m²/L: 3 m² on rough cotto undiluted, 15 m² on glazed ceramic at 1:20. No drying time-surface is ready for traffic as soon as rinse water is removed.
Surface Compatibility
Excellent on dense substrates such as porcelain, basalt, and concrete because the alkaline formula emulsifies oils without etching. Good on acid-sensitive stones-limestone, terrazzo, or cotto-when diluted 1:20, as the high pH stays at the surface film. Do not use on aluminium trim or sensitive painted cabinetry.
Choosing the Right Product
For daily maintenance after the deep clean, switch to MN Wash & Clean at pH 9. For long-term stain resistance, seal the dry surface with MN Stain-Stop. Heavy organic stains that persist after WEXA may require Lithofin OIL-EX paste.
Pro Tips
- Warm water (30 °C) accelerates grease dissolution by 18 %-use it on commercial kitchen floors.
- On highly porous sandstone, pre-wet until the stone darkens evenly; this prevents deep chemical penetration.
- Vacuum rinse water immediately on polished marble to avoid redepositing loosened wax films.

Frequently asked questions
How do I clean soot from a slate fireplace with WEXA?
Apply WEXA 1:5, leave 10 min, scrub, and rinse. The alkaline action lifts carbon without damaging slate.
What dilution of WEXA for first clean on newly laid porcelain tiles?
Use 1:10. Coverage reaches 15 m²/L because porcelain is non-porous.
Can WEXA prepare marble before re-sealing?
Yes. Dilute 1:20, scrub, rinse twice, and let the stone dry 24 h before applying MN Stain-Stop.
Is WEXA safe on limestone floors?
Safe at 1:20. The alkaline solution stays on the surface, so it will not etch acid-sensitive limestone.
Can I use WEXA in a floor scrubber on concrete?
Yes. Dose 200 ml per 1 L water (1:5) and expect 5 m²/L coverage on rough concrete.
