Heavy dirt on marble or granite? One 10-minute dwell with MN Power-Clean solves it.

Your polished marble bathroom floor shows dull grey traffic lanes and ingrained soap scum that routine mopping no longer shifts. Lithofin MN Power-Clean breaks through this build-up in one pass, restoring the original gloss without etching the stone.

What MN Power-Clean Does

MN Power-Clean is an alkaline intensive cleaner for natural stone. With a working pH of 10.5 it saponifies grease and loosens waxes, acrylics, and stubborn dirt. Undiluted it dissolves organic residues within 10 minutes; at 1:10 it still removes everyday film while remaining safe for acid-sensitive calcium carbonate surfaces.

When to Use

  • Polished marble bathroom floor with soap build-up - dilute 1:10, 50-67 ml/m². See general cleaning guide.
  • Rough granite kitchen floor with fryer grease - dilute 1:5, 100-200 ml/m².
  • Sandstone entrance saturated with foot traffic grime - apply undiluted, 5 m²/L.
  • Removing dried Stain-Stop residue on limestone vanity - use undiluted.
  • Prep clean before sealing a terrazzo lobby - dilute 1:5, then rinse twice. Reference terrazzo care page.

How to Apply

  1. Prepare a plastic bucket: add water first, then product per chosen dilution.
  2. Distribute with mop, white pad, or scrubbing machine at 50 rpm; keep surface wet for 5-10 min.
  3. Agitate stubborn zones with a nylon brush; do not let the solution dry.
  4. Vacuum or mop up, then rinse with clean water until the rinse water runs clear.

Coverage ranges 5-20 m²/L. No drying time-once rinsed and surface is visually dry you may walk on it. Re-clean every 3-6 months as required.

Surface Compatibility

You safely treat marble, limestone, granite, slate, sandstone, bluestone, basalt, and terrazzo because the moderate alkalinity lifts organic soil without attacking calcium carbonate or silicate matrices. Do not use on aluminium fixtures, enamel, or waxed wood; mask such elements before cleaning.

Choosing the Right Product

For daily wipe-downs, use MN Wash & Clean. For oil spots that have penetrated deeply, follow with Lithofin OIL-EX paste. If you work on ceramic or porcelain, switch to KF Intensive Cleaner for faster action on glazes.

Pro Tips

  • Pre-wet highly porous sandstone to slow absorption and extend the 10 minute dwell time.
  • On vertical shower walls, start at the bottom and work upward to avoid streaking marks from concentrated runoff.
  • Neutralise any residual alkalinity with a clear water rinse of at least 2 L/m²-this prevents re-soiling films.

Frequently asked questions

When should I use MN Power-Clean vs KF Intensive Cleaner?

Choose MN Power-Clean on natural stone; its pH 10.5 keeps marble safe. KF Intensive Cleaner targets ceramic glazes.

How much MN Power-Clean do I need for a 30 m² marble floor?

At 15 m²/L you need 2 L of diluted solution, so 200 ml concentrate plus 1.8 L water.

Why does pH matter when cleaning marble?

Acids etch calcium carbonate. MN Power-Clean stays alkaline, so marble (Mohs 3) is not etched while dirt is removed.

Can MN Power-Clean remove dried Stain-Stop residue?

Yes. Apply it undiluted, wait 10–15 min, scrub, and rinse; the residue dissolves without sanding.
