What Grout Protector Does
Grout Protector is a neutral impregnator for cement-based grout on ceramic, porcelain and natural-stone installations. The ready-to-use fluoropolymer solution (pH 7.8) penetrates to a depth of 1-2 mm, lines each pore, and reduces water absorption by 95 % within 24 h. Spills bead on the surface, giving you a 10-minute window to wipe away coffee, shampoo, or cooking oil before they stain.
When to Use
- New bathroom grout, 100 % ready to use, after 7-day cure.
- Kitchen backsplash joints, 100 %, one coat for 3 mm lines.
- Shower floor mosaic (glass-mosaic), 100 %, two coats for heavy splash zones.
- Outdoor porcelain patio grout, 100 %, apply on a dry, 10 °C-25 °C day.

How to Apply
- Clean joints with KF Grout Cleaner, rinse, then air-dry 24 h till the grout shows <2 % residual moisture.
- Shake bottle, fill a fine brush or applicator pen, and draw a continuous bead along each joint.
- After 5 minutes, remove surplus from tile edges with a damp microfibre cloth.
- For shower floors, repeat step 2 after 15 minutes.
Consumption 50-100 ml/m² depending on joint width and depth. Surface is walk-safe after 1 h; full resistance builds in 12-24 h.
Surface Compatibility
The formulation bonds to all absorbent cementitious joints between porcelain, ceramic, marble, granite, and other stones. Because it is neutral, it will not etch acid-sensitive stones such as limestone. Do not use on epoxy grout, damp joints, or silicone seals.
